2019 proved to be a big year. We were mental and physically drained with too many commitments. Something had to change. We had talked about doing the “big lap” for years. Alas, this isn’t always realistic or doable when you own properties, have your own business, have unfinished renovations and have 3 dogs.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t possibly sell up and travel for a year. I admire people who do, but there is not a chance we could (yet).
We cannot travel for an entire year, but if we could travel Australia bit by bit! That is more realistic. We sold one of the properties because it was too time consuming and difficult to manage. Then we decided to buy a caravan and travel as often as we could. The theory was to travel Australia bit by bit. Our first adventure is the mini lap, of Tassie.
The home away from home is a 19 foot Lotus Off grid and made the decision to make more of an effort to get away from the rat race and spend quality time with the kids. (They’re always saying that all we do is work).
Travelling Australia with Kids Bit-by-Bit.
This page is for documenting our travels and everything related. If you’ve ever considered travelling with kids, but found it to be unrealistic and just dream, this page is for you. Lets see if we can do it bit-by-bit, instead of doing the big lap.
I plan to share anything we learn while “winging it” bit by bit on this page. You can also follow me on Instagram & on Facebook.
